On May 20, 1967 Lt. Col. Robert F. Titus and 1st Lt. Milan Zimmer downed a North Vietnamese MiG-21 in this very Phantom. Two days later the pair would down two more North Vietnamese MiGs including one using an externally mounted cannon becoming one of the few F-4 crews to achieve a gun kill with a gun pod!
