The only road linking Havre Saint-Pierre to the rest of the province of Quebec has been closed for two weeks in June 2023 due to structural issues on a bridge. Thus, the only way to transport food and people was by plane. An air bridge had been put in place using Nolinor’s 737-200 and 737-300. It was the first time in the history of this airport to receive such a big aircraft. The runway dimensions are 4500ft x 100ft but Nolinor is used to operate on short runways in the Canadian Artic. Most of time on gravel or icy surfaces.
