From 1955 until the end of the sixties of the last century, a total of 24 MiG-17 PF ambush fighters were in service with us, deployed successively to various air units. The aircraft with fuselage number 1015 with the RP-5 Izumrud-2 radar was taken over by the Czechoslovak Air Force on November 29, 1956 and included in the air defense system. According to the surviving recorder, his service with the 7th Fighter Aviation Regiment in Piestany and the 11th Fighter Aviation Regiment in Zatac was confirmed. The machine ended its flying career on September 8, 1969. It had flown a total of 902 hours and 55 minutes in 1,182 starts. It entered the collection of VHU in December 1970. After that, it underwent a complete revision at VU 1722 Ceske Budejovice, which ended with handing over to the exhibition on September 9, 1971.
