USS Midway was commissioned in 1945. She was used in many actions such as the Vietnam War and the Persian Gulf Operation Desert Storm in 1991. She was decommissioned in 1992 making her the longest-serving aircraft carrier of the 20th century. She is now a museum to this day in San Diego.
