Built in 1980 for the Royal Air Force with the serial ZA325, this was one of only twelve ‘twin-stick’ GR.1(T) variants. As a pure trainer it was allocated to the Tri-National Tornado Training Establishment (TTTE) at RAF Cottesmore, later moving to XV(R) Squadron at RAF Lossiemouth when that unit took over all Tornado training duties. It was stored at StAthan in October 2001 and moved to Cosford in August 2003 for ground instructional use with No.2 School of Technical Training (2SoTT), for which it was allocated the maintenance serial 9338M. It returned to StAthan in December 2005 and was broken up with the nose coming to Manston for use by the Fire Services Central Training Establishment (FSCTE). It joined the museum collection during 2010
