Notes:

Arguable the most famous American bomber of all time. This B-17 was originally manufactured and delivered to the U.S. Army Air Forces for war service in 1944 where she flew missions in the Pacific Theatre. After the war she flew for training, testing and at-sea rescue missions and was eventually sold for surplus and used as a fire bomber. Nowadays, we can book a Flying Fortress Sentimental Journey flight. For more info, www.azcaf.org/fly-with-us Or just 5 bucks to climb into the cockpit as I did on that day. Squeezing thru the bomb bay(a few large bombs can be seen here). Finally, to the waist gunners stations. but no access to the rear, top or bottom ball turret :D
