Brisfit on display at RAFM Hendon with one side left open. Sent to No. 48 Sqn RFC in France in March 1917, the F.2A was effective by offensively using the Constantinesco synchronised forward-firing Vickers gun, with the observer acting defensively. It could outdive most German aircraft, would loop well and absorb damage. Different engines were fitted, but most F.2Bs used the 275 hp Falcon III. Production ended in Dec. 1926 with 4,469 Bristol Fighters built. No. 6 Sqn. was the last to fly the F.2B in 1932.
