Notes:

Once upon a time in the 2000s, Qantas 747-400s departing runway 1R in evening light were a common occurrence as the carrier operated an SFO-YVR "tag on" route with fares as low as $99 each way in an effort to better utilize the aircraft's 10+ hour sit in SFO. Unfortunately, in this case, VH-OEB had arrived as Qantas 73 on her last revenue flight ever a few hours before and is seen here headed to LAX where her interior would be stripped at the Qantas hangar before a final ferry flight to VCV for retirement. These Qantas 747-400s will always hold a special place in my heart, as will their pro-Ahoy antics crews. Thanks to fellow member Mark Durbin for taking me out to catch this one airside.
