Such a lovely classic I had the chance to get during a wonderful airside tour around the airport on that day, plus five other DC-3 (N15MA, N32TN, N587MB, N705GB and YV2119). This Douglas DC-3C, built in 1944, was involved in an unfortunate incident in October 2018, during a flight from Opa Locka to Nassau, Bahamas. The left engine failed in cruise resulting in ditching due to the bad aircraft performance. The aircraft submerged and the two pilots were not injured. (1200px)
