CSA flight 531 from Damascus to Nicosia on 29.08.1973 veered to the right after landing on runway 14 and was damaged beyond repair - it was supposed to become a café but was destroyed completely during the turkish invasion to northern Cyprus in July 1974. The wreckage is now within the UN buffer zone outside of Nicosia Airport.
