According to a Flickr user Heathrow Junkie, Delta Air Lines leased a couple of standard bodied TriStars to inaugurate their Atlanta-Gatwick flights in 1978. N31029 was leased to Delta Airlines from April 1978 to May 1980. After conversion to a series 100, the aircraft flew with TWA into the 1990s and was then sold to Tradewinds around 2001. The aircraft was broken up at Greensboro NC just a couple of years later.
