Westland Lynx Mk.28 reg. QP-31 was moved from Fleetlands, Hampshire, where it had been used as a training aid, to a new home at the Newark Air Museum in Nottinghamshire. Built in 1978 with the constructor’s number WA033, this Lynx initially flew in the UK as a trials unit machine with the markings G-17-21 before becoming one of three examples purchased by the Qatar Ministry of the Interior for operation by the Qatari Police with the serial QP-31.
