Notes:

My favorite unexpected visitor to Albany. DAL988 KDTW-KBOS diverted due to a heavy hailstorm in Boston. Seen here departing RWY01 in the afternoon. Attracted the attention of a lot of the airport folks, saying "what plane is this?" and "such a good looking plane".

I was going to give it a like anyway. The story makes it worthy of a double like if it were possible

Thanks Michael! I was actually at the airport to see a DC-3 coming back from the D-Day ceremony. As I was taking a photo of the DC-3 (as well as an unique Piper Cherokee that's painted in Southwest colors). Saw a jet coming in the distance, thought "that's weird, nothing is scheduled at this time." and could not believe my eyes as I zoomed in and realized it was a CSeries/A220. (And at first a bit worried that it was a mechanical emergency landing, but thankfully turned out just to be a weather diversion.)
