Stbd side view of Private Supermarine Spitfire MkIX ZK-SPI CBAF IX3128 (PV270/AL) airborne from Omaka NZOM on 20Apr2019. The WWII Vintage Spitfire wears effective camouflage livery, which hides the aircraft well in a band of trees in this Marlborough hills background. The aircraft flew multiple times at the 2019 Yealands Classic Fighters Omaka Airshow. [This aircraft was restored by owner Brendon Deere, nephew of WWII Ace Air Commodore Al Deere. The aircraft is painted in the livery of Al’s aircraft in WWII, and is based at RNZAF Base Ohakea, near Palmerston, New Zealand.]
