A complete sensation at the time: A Jumbo Jet operated by a charter airline. "Fritz" was delivered in April 1971 and performed its first revenue service on May 1st of that year to Palma, which is when this picture was taken. The 747 posed a real challenge for most of the airports Condor served with it - it was just so much larger than anything flying there usually.
