RAAF 37 Squadron C-130E A97-178 Cn 382-4178 (and A97-171) are the tail-enders in a line of eight Hercules taxying out for a Formation Flypast at the Australian Bi-Centennial Airshow at RAAF Richmond YSRI on 13Oct1988. My last flight in a C-130E was in A97-178 on 04Mar2000, not long before some of the E models were 'traded-in' on C-130J-30s. The C-130Es entered RAAF service in 1966 and were retired in 2000 (closely matching my 1965-2000 service). This Lockheed C-130E aircraft, now operated by the Pakistan Air Force as 4178, was on display at RIAT 2018 at Fairford EGVA in July 2018, (30 years later) wearing colourful logos on the fuselage and tail.
