The First RAAF Boeing C-17A Globemaster III, A41-206 Cn AUS1, arrived at Canberra Airport YSCB on 04Dec2006, after a direct flight from Long Beach California. An official Arrival Ceremony was held on the SPA apron that day. The aircraft stayed at the former RAAF Fairbairn for two days before departing for Home Base at RAAF Amberley, Queensland. Stbd under-side view of the flypast performed over the Airport on 06Dec2006. The nose area has since acquired ‘lumps and bumps’ through modification action.
