155872, preserved at Carolinas Aviation Museum, was in the final active-duty MC F-4 Squadron, VMFA-235 "Death Angels", based at MCAS Barbers Point, HI. In 1990 it was ferried to MCAS Cherry Point as a part of the Navy's aerial target from program. After the program was terminated, the aircraft was preserved.
