This is quite a unique moment captured on apron Whiskey, João Paulo II airport. On W1, the CASA C-295M (Reg: 16705) of the Portuguese Air Force had the President of the Portuguese Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, on board. On W5, it’s visible the A321 (Reg: OE-LCF) of Air Berlin. It was the last flight of the German company to São Miguel island. Air Berlin ceased all flights on October 27, 2017. On W6 you can see one of the two B738 (Reg: EI-FJS and EI-FJT) of Norwegian that visit the island that day for technical reasons.
