Stbd side Dusk view (with rainbow) of pole-mounted ‘RAAF 9 Squadron UH-1H Iroquois A2-767 Cn 9767’, at the Dandenong RSL, Victoria, on 31Jul2008. The Huey was donated to the RSL by the US Government, to enable the memorial display helo to represent RAAF 9 Squadron UH-1H Iroquois A2-767, which was lost to enemy action in South Vietnam in 1971. (The Port side of the helo depicts US Army Bell UH-1H Huey 73-21763 Cn 13451.) RAAF 5 Squadron, based at RAAF Fairbairn Canberra ACT, Trained Pilots and groundcrew on Bell Hueys, before the personnel were posted to 9 Squadron in Vung Tau in South Vietnam.
