McDonnell Douglas F-15A-3-MC Eagle 71-0285 MSN 0006/A006 Used as the trials aircraft for the avionics and missile firing control system as well as fighter control evaluation purposes. Assigned to the combined McDonnell Douglas/USAF F-15 Joint Test Force at Edwards AFB (1973 - 1981). Named ‘Killer’ and carried seven F-102 and twelve Firebee kills below the cockpit at the Edwards AFB open house in October 1976. Bailed to McDonnell Douglas, later Boeing, as a test aircraft Aug 1984 to Aug 1991. Preserved and on display at St Louis – Lambert Field, MO. (May 1999). Preserved and on display at USAF Personnel Recruiting Office, St. Louis, MO. (2007) April 2010 the aircraft was gimbal-mounted as a radar target at the Boeing Avionics Laboratory Antenna Range at Smartt Field, St Charles County AP, MO (Aug. 2017).
