RAAF 2OCU F/A-18A A21-16 Cn 368/AF016 making rainbow vapour at the 2017 Australian International Airshow at Avalon YMAV on Friday 03Mar2017. The Hornet was pulling plenty of ‘G’s in a climbing Port turn. Vortices streamed from the wingtips, and the vapour in the low pressure zone shows rainbow hues. Spectacular! Hornet A21-16 now wears a Special Scheme on the tailfins, commemorating 75 years since the raising of No 2 Operational Conversion Unit (2 OCU) in 1942.
