8 months and 1 day later this aircraft had an incident while taking off from Bogota (BOG/SKBO) to Quito (UIO/SEQM). The left hand engine (JT8D) during the climbing had failed and emitted a loud bang and ejected multiple pieces, which were found near the airport. Fortunately everything went well and the aircraft landed safely 14 minutes later.
