The rotary wing element of the UKMFTS project will start to feed helicopters into the Defence Helicopter Flying School at Shawbury and Valley in 2018; the extended contract for the provision of aircraft, simulators and support services with Cobham (formerly FBS and FB Heliservices) is in its final years, having introduced Squirrels and Griffins to the Shropshire skies in 1996. A 660 Sqn Griffin is seen here in the maintenance hangar.
