The monument to Il-86 (RA-86097) is located near the entrance to the domestic terminal of Tolmachevo. Il-86 (RA-86097) was built in 1988 and carried passengers for over 20 years, in 2008 the aircraft got up for storage in Tolmachevo airport of Novosibirsk. RA-86097 is the second exhibit of the Museum of the history of aviation, which is created by the Tolmachevo airport for passengers and guests. The purpose of the Museum is to preserve the history and traditions of Russian civil aviation. In the future, the airport plans to equip the exhibition in the cabin, including the cockpit, to recover part of the cabin, to place stands with photos, historical documents.
