The 50th Anniversary of the Battle of Long Tan in Vietnam in 1966 was Commemorated in Canberra on Long Tan Day - 18Aug2016. The Ceremony was complemented by Flypasts of aircraft relevant to the Australian and US participation in the Vietnam War. Aircraft which participated in the Flypasts were an RAAF C-130J-30, two C-47s, two Caribou, a Cessna O-2, a Bell UH-1H ‘Huey’ and a Bell 47G-3B1 Sioux, followed by two USAF B-52Hs from Guam. The Formation leader, HARS C-47B Skytrain VH-EAF (ex RAAF A65-94) Cn 16358, banks to Stbd after the second pass over the Ceremony on Anzac Parade.
