This aircraft was captured by the Allied in 1945 and used for the Allied Technical Air Intelligence Unit South East Asia, or ATAIU-SEA. The remainder of the history for this aircraft remains a bit of a mystery, however it appears that it went to Australia before being shipped to the UK post war. Researchers have assumed that this aircraft was part of 381 Air Wing, Imperial Japanese Navy. One day this aircraft will be restored, however it is on display at the IWM duxford.
