Low Res close-cropped view of the Flight Deck/ Instrument Panel of Australia - Army Bell UH-1H A2-487 Cn 11775 at Lake Burley Griffin, Canberra ACT, on 13Aug2005. (The Black Instrument Panel is ‘Night-Vision Goggles’ compatible.) The occasion was the 'Salute to Veterans' (60th Anniversary of Victory in the Pacific [VP60]) Air Display. Apologies for quality and high contrast, due to an unfavourable helo display orientation. Other Army helos on static display at the time were: Bell 206B-1 Kiowa A17-027 Cn 44527, S-70A-9 Blackhawk A25-218 Cn 70-178, and CH-47C Chinook A15-103. (The Instrument Panel and console of A15-103 was covered by dirty Perspex, rendering Flight Deck photos useless.) History: A2-487 was Delivered to RAAF June 1970 ex FMS 69-15487. Displayed at Laverton Airshow 18Apr1971. Served as part of the United Nations Emergency Force II 1976-79, based in Ismailia Egypt. Transferred to Army Aviation Dec1989-Jan1990. Served with 171 Sqn - 1st Aviation Regiment. Retired by Dec 2007. Currently on display at the Australian Army Infantry Museum at Singleton NSW. (Ref: ADF-Serials.)
