Delivered to USAF on July 23rd 1951 and then transferred to Italian air force (date unknown) This Albatross (ex-code 15-6) was affected to the 15o Stormo for Search and Rescue. Stored during long years in Cuneo-Levaldigi, it was dismantled in summer 2014 and transported with three trucks up to Biscarosse where it is stored waiting to be reassembled and to be fully restored and repainted in US Air Force colours. It will then be exposed at the Biscarosse Museum of seaplanes/flying boats.
