The Grumman F8F Bearcat was a single-engine American fighter aircraft. The first production aircraft was delivered in February 1945 and the first squadron was operational by May 1945, but World War II was over before the aircraft saw combat service. Only 1,265 of them were built. 95255 is only one of two F8F-1's airworthy in the US and is owned by 'Lewis Air Legends'.
