As part of the RAF Tornado draw-down, 617 Sqn disbanded in April 2014, in the anticipation that it would re-form in 2016 as the first F-35 Lightning II squadron. This Tornado still wears 617 Sqn markings a year later, seen here down from Scotland flying throught the Mach Loop from ‘Bluebell’, callsign ‘Lossiemouth Zero Seven’.
