Delivered USAF MATS (Military Air Transport Service) Atlantic Division November 1 1955 as Lockheed C-121C with 54-0157 registration. Retired and stored Davis Monthan AFB April 1972. Transferred Smithsonian Institute June 14 1972. To Aviation Specialties Inc. August 17 1972 in exchange for a Boeing S307 Stratoliner N19903. Ferried to Mesa, Falcon Field. Re-registered as N73544 March 26 1973. Modified as agricultural sprayer April 1973. WFU and stored Mesa, Arizona in 1976, however still airworthy at Goodyear, Arizona 1979 and flown Chandler Memorial Airport, Arizona. Leased Globe Air Inc. February 18 1981, for sightseeing flights which never materialized. Mehrdad Khoramian and Benny Younesi bought December 1982. WFU and stored Camarillo, California, January 1984. Super Constellation Flyers’ Association (SCFA) signed a lease-purchase agreement December 17 2003. Departed Camarillo April 26 2004 for Basel-Mulhouse Airport, where arrived safe May 8. Purchased SCFA April 2007 and re-registered HB-RSC. April 2011 the restoration was completed, including the major wing corrosion repair. Seen here on demonstration flight and still active nowadays.
