Stbd (Navigator’s) side view of the Cockpit / Crew Module of USAF General Dynamics FB-111A Aardvark 68-0246 Cn B1-18 (which then wore RAAF Roundels), displayed at the 2007 Wide Bay International Airshow at Bundaberg Airport (YBUD) on 03Aug2007. The Orange safety pin streamers for the Module Ejection Handles are hanging from the module roof beam. The aircraft was assigned to 509 BMW Pease AFB New Hampshire in 1980. The RAAF purchased the airframe (for use as spare parts for a repair task), from AMARC, Davis Monthan Air Base (DMA) in Arizona. In 2007, this F-111 Nose Section was being used as a RAAF Reserve Display Item. Since Nov 2014, the Nose of 68-0246 has been displayed at the RAN Museum of Flight, HMAS Albatross/NAS Nowra (YSNW).
