Front view of the nose of Canada Air Force Avro 683 Lancaster MkX KB976 Cn 277 at Brooklands EGLB UK on 12Jul2012. This Lancaster, built by Vickers Canada in 1944 went to the RCAF as KB976. The aircraft was Civil Registered as G-BCOF in 1970, and the forward/ centre fuselage displayed at Brooklands has been reconstructed in ‘Long Nose’ configuration. The rear fuselage is displayed at the AeroVenture Museum at Doncaster UK. Note dummy nose turret and faded/cracked nose dome perspex.
