The Finale of the Payerne Air 14 Airshow (06-07Sep2014) was a demonstration flight by Messerschmitt Me 262 B-1a Replica D-IMTT (Marked with Werke Nummer 501244), which launched at 1700 hrs on Sunday 07Sep2014. The distinctive under-side of the aircraft is shown during a steep orbit over Payerne Airfield (LSMP). The aircraft was Named the ‘Schwalbe’ (Swallow) during World War II. This New Build example had its First Flight on 12Aug2005 at Seattle WA USA, and 25Apr2006 at Manching Germany. Two Ge CJ-610-9 engines of 13.8 KN thrust each are used instead of the original Jumo 004 B-2 engines (8.9KN thrust each).
