Delivered BALKAN – Bulgarian Airlines as IL-18D (D for the Russian “Dahlniy”, means extended-range) November 17 1968 as LZ-BEA. Early 1990s converted to IL-18GrM which is the modified (“Modifitseerovanniy”) basic cargo version of the type (Russian: “Groozovoy”) with a 3,5 x 1,82 m Side Cargo Door (SCD) on the port-front fuselage, replacing the first three passenger windows. Seen here on the cargo ramp. Last seen stored Varna, Bulgaria September 23 1997. Broken up since. First in database, scanned from an old slide.
