China Eastern operated 5 A340-300s between 1996 and 2012, and they were deployed both regionally to cities such as Hong Kong, Singapore & Tokyo and long-haul to Australia, Europe & North America. All 5 were stored in 2012. This particular day was also my first trip to the observation deck (called Skydeck) in T2 not long after it opened. It's a great place for plane photos in HKG when light, weather conditions and runway are appropriate.
