Shortly after takeoff from Male (VRMM) as EK652 to Colombo, we are climbing over the Sheraton Full Moon Resort & Spa which is located on Furanafushi Island. The quintessentially Maldivian overwater villas, stunning turquoise waters, and house reef can all be seen. The island of Gaagandu is in the foreground, visible just in front of one of the two Rolls Royce Trent 892s that'll carry us from the Maldives to Sri Lanka.
