Disappeared off the radar on 8th March 2014 while operating MH370 at 6°54'11.3"N 103°34'12.0"E carrying 239 souls including crew. Earlier in the life of this aircraft, it reportedly suffered a ground incident in August 2012 when its wingtip collided with the tail of a China Eastern Airlines Airbus A340 while taxiing in Shanghai. Quite an unfortunate incident with this Boeing 777, which otherwise had a spotless career spanning almost 20 years.
