Manufactured in 1965 for Lufthansa. First flight on January 7 1966, delivered on January 19 as D-ABUH (“Dortmund”). April 1982 to Air Zimbabwe as VP-WKU. Re-registered as Z-WKU October 1983. WFU and stored November 1997. Turbine Services bought Febuary 1998 and sold to Interflight Airline Marketing April 1998 as 3D-WKS. Planet Air (Pty) bought October 1999. Picture taken during embarkation for Harare, however it was not known yet, we’ll abort the flight landing Kariba Airport (Zimbabwe), to pick up the passengers of poor Z-WPD (BAe-146 200) which failed to take off that day due to certain technical reasons. What a flight it was! Scanned from an old slide. Dedicated to my old mate and co-fan of Zimbabwe: Zoltan Varga (Zolee), wishing him smooth and fast recovery.
