In-Flight Wing View of the Port-side engine cowling of Virgin Blue Airlines B737-4Y0 VH-VGD Cn 23980, heading South over Canberra (downwind for YSCB Rwy 35) on 01Oct2001. The B737 is passing over my home suburb, Isaacs ACT, with the industrial suburb of Hume visible at top left. This view is no longer possible from an airliner, because the aircraft are now routed beyond Canberra’s suburbs for noise abatement purposes.
