[1000] This is my 1000th picture here! I would like to say thank you to everyone I met on my spotting way, especially to all members of the EPGD Spotters team - without you my adventure with aviation photography wouldn't be so fascinating! Also regards to great friends from other cities and countries, as well as to the authorities of Port Lotniczy Gdañsk Rebiechowo - EPGD airport - for many facilities for spotters.
In this picture, you can see one of two Klimov RD-33 engines installed on every Mig 29. This is a powerful powerplant that gives 49,42 kN thrust (81,4 kN with afterburner) which can speed up the plane up to 2445 km/h! Poland has 31 Mig's 29 located in two bases: Malbork AFB and Minsk Mazowiecki AFB. Malbork is located very close to the Tricity region (home base of EPGD Spotters), so the Migs are well-known by us ;)
Here right after the flight, believe me, it was so hot inside!
