The proof-of-concept Kestrel poses outside of former Navy Hanger Six at Brunswick Executive Airport. Kestrel Aero has leased much of Hanger Six and is a key player in the Maine Regional Redevelopment Authority's plan to revitalize the airfield after Patrol and Reconnaissance Wing Five left the base - known as Brunswick Naval Air Station - due to BRAC 2005. Kestrel hopes to design and build light business aircraft such as the F1 at Brunswick.
