Photo taken during a high-energy handling display. This Super Hornet is fitted with just one external fuel tank on the Center-line station. (Sister-ship A44-207 used the non-symmetrical 'Double Ugly' configuratioin with two external tanks.) A44-204, which is based at Amberley in Queensland, wears USN Bu Number 167960. (RAAF F-111s were Retired in December 2010, being replaced by F/A-18F Rhinos, before delivery of RAAF F-35s.)
