This is actually the third Control Tower to have been built at Essendon Airport. Constructed as a 'temporary' Tower in time for the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games, it's still going strong today! Earlier in 2010 it had a repaint back to it's original heritage colour scheme and looks pretty good.
