Mark H, that's correct... Operated up to SIN as QF31 with the spare for QF6.

This is your captain speaking: Due to recent engine issues, we added an extra one for passenger safety! Ok, joke aside, I wonder why didn't they load it into a cargo instead of adding some extra drag and yaw moment on this 747.
