Notes:

The long abandoned Control Tower of Gove. The tower was built in age when the Department of Civil Aviation decreed that all airports serviced by jet passenger aircraft must have a fully manned control tower. All this for 2 jet movements a day 12 hours apart. The tower was closed and abandoned as part of cost cutting measures of the early nineties. There are a number of airports in Australia that now have ghostly towers that are relics of a previous era.
