I photographed the RAAF Telstars Aerobatic Team Vampires (led by A79-637) flying at the 1965 Laverton Airshow. The Team was operated by Central Flying School (CFS) based at RAAF East Sale. The aircraft were painted Silver, with DayGlo on the nose, wingtips and fins. On 08Mar2008, I was surprised to find De Havilland Australia Vampire T.35 A79-637 (now Civil Registered as VH-FJW) under Restoration at the HARS Facility at Wollongong (YWOL). Wow, a 42 year gap between photos of A79-637. (Note plywood fuselage construction, similar to the Mosquito fuselage pod.) The other Vampire at left is A79-665.
