The RAAF's second F-111C A8-126 does a slow Flypast with wheels down and After-Burner On on 26Sep2009. Moments after the Fuel Dump Valve is Selected, the After-Burners ignite the venting fuel. Voila - A 'Dump and Burn' is created. RF-111C A8-126, operated by 6 Squadron, initiates a 'Dump and Burn' at the 2009 Defence Force Air Display, over the Strand in Townsville. The aircraft performed a (Finale?) Dump and Burn three times that day/night. The crew had a hard act to follow - slotted after a 30 minute display by the USAF Thunderbirds! Luckily, the East Coast dust cloud cleared enough overnight to allow a full flying program. Low res photo.
