Rare view of USN VR-61 C-9B Skytrain II 'City of Seattle' 162392 Cn 47065 (Code RS-392) at Boeing Field (KBFI) Seattle on 09Feb1989. Passengers are boarding the aircraft for a 1.7 hour flight to Nimitz Field, NAS Alameda, San Francisco (KNGZ). There were three large Aircraft Carriers at NAS Alameda that day. On approach to Nimitz Field we saw the Golden Gate Bridge with the sun setting behind it. I didn't get a photo because the aircaft's windows were severely crazed (almost opaque). This aircraft was previously operated by Ansett Airlines of Australia as VH-CZD (Delivered 08Mar1968, Sold 30Aug1982.) Ansett's Aboriginal motifs were still on the interior trim. Low res photo.
